About one third of our lives is spent asleep, and yet there is still no clear agreement on what the function of sleep may be. It represents one of our basic biological rhythms, and we know that disrupting sleep can have drastic effects on people. This topic studies sleep and dreaming in detail, as well and analysing the numerous biological rhythms that our bodies follow daily, yearly, or somewhere in between.
